This course provides an in-depth study of selected Prophetic traditions (Hadith) through an analytical and critical approach. It focuses on understanding the meanings, contexts, and objectives of Hadith, while examining their linguistic, legal, ethical, and theological dimensions. Students learn how to analyze the texts of Hadith, identify their key themes, derive relevant lessons and rulings, and connect Prophetic guidance to contemporary issues. The course also develops students’ skills in interpreting Hadith within their historical and contextual framework and applying the principles of sound Hadith understanding in Islamic thought and practice.
